My name is Seng Channa, and I'm 44 years old. I'm a parent of two sons, and I work as a farmer, growing things like rubber, cassava, and cashew.
Life in our community is really close-knit. We get along well with everyone, and we're always helping each other out. One day, my niece, Met Sreyda, invited me to a workshop on making organic soap. She said it was being run by people from the Fountain of Hope organization, which is a Christian group. She explained how great organic soap is, because her family already made and used it. Plus, it was the first time I heard anyone from that group talk about Jesus's love for everyone.
After hearing about the benefits of the soap and also about God, I decided to go to the workshop and learn more about Jesus too. The workshop was actually really fun, especially because I got to do it with other people from my community.
We already have a lot of the stuff we need at home. I was really happy to learn how versatile the soap is – you can use it for washing dishes, laundry, and all sorts of cleaning. I'm so grateful to God and to the people from Fountain of Hope for teaching us this. I'm excited to share what I learned with my neighbors. I want to show them how to make the soap and tell them why it's so good. It was my first time learning how to make soap, and at the same time, hearing about God.
From the workshop, I learned a lot about the ingredients for organic soap. I also realized that by using things we already have and making our own soap, we can save money by not having to buy it from the store. And I also learned about Jesus as my Lord and Savior. That was the first time I heard the Gospel. I could really feel that God’s love was moving the people from Fountain of Hope to share His love with me and everyone else.
I want to say a big thank you to Fountain of Hope for teaching us how to make organic soap and for sharing God’s love with us. I hope they keep doing more workshops like this, so we can keep learning and growing both spiritually and practically.
God bless you!
